We hope the economy recovers soon. In the meantime we are re-organizing our nursery and website, still growing plants, but not selling them until the economy bounces back.

Hermine started growing plants on her window sill and fire escape as a little girl in Brooklyn. From 1963-1990 Roger was designing, creating working drawings and supervising construction of buildings for architects Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and Bertrand Goldberg. Hermine joined him to work on hospitals for Harvard University and a church in Boston. Hermine's passion for rare and unusual plants resulted in a tropical growing chamber in the basement of our Boston home. She started a mail-order business growing and selling her own home-grown plants. In 1979 the cold eastern climate drove us to explore southern climates, expanded our interest in Bamboo, Palms, Cycads, Sansevierias and moved us to California.
